SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. — A Southern Pines man facing a slew of charges in connection with a shooting in September has been extradited from Florida to North Carolina, authorities said Tuesday.

Kovacs Kieron Troutman has been jailed in Moore County under more than $2 million bond.

He faces six counts of attempted first-degree murder, four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault on a female, assault by pointing a gun, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, discharge of a weapon into occupied property, seven drug-related charges, three counts of habitual felon and resisting a public officer.

Investigators say Bobby Terrell Dobbins was sitting in a parked vehicle on the U.S. Highway 1 South ramp to Morganton Road when Troutman shot him multiple times on Sept. 14.

Troutman, 29, was arrested Oct. 12 in Indian River County, Fla.
