Man arrested in shooting outside Durham supermarket

Durham police have arrested the man wanted for shooting another man outside a Durham supermarket last week.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police have arrested the man wanted for shooting another man outside a Durham supermarket last week.

Christopher Eugene Hill, 34, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the shooting outside Los Primos Supermarket on East Main Street. He was placed in the Durham County jail under a $530,000 bond.

According to 911 recordings, it appears that Hill and the victim, whose name and condition haven't been released, were involved in some kind of confrontation shortly before the shooting.

The victim was seriously injured, police have said.
