Police on Friday arrested a man wanted in connection with Wednesday incident in which a woman was attacked with a saw.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police on Friday arrested a man wanted in connection with Wednesday incident in which a woman was attacked with a saw.

David Hill was arrested Friday afternoon at a Howard Johnson Motor Inn at 1800 Hillandale Road, police said. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering and motor vehicle theft.

A man broke into a woman's residence on Lancaster Street on Wednesday, assaulted her with a saw, robbed her and stole her 2001 Subaru Forrester, police said. The victim and the assailant knew each other, police said.
