Man arrested in Halifax home burglary
Deputies arrested a man after receiving calls about a break-in in progress at a Weldon home on Saturday.
Posted — UpdatedWELDON, N.C. — Deputies arrested a man after receiving calls about a break-in in progress at a Weldon home on Saturday.
Two deputies spotted a man matching the suspect description in a wooded area next to the home at 1021 Washington Ave. They arrested Leon Maurice Gray.
Gray faces one charge each of first-degree burglary and felony larceny and two charges each of felony breaking-and-entering and resisting, obstructing or delaying a public officer.
Gray was being held Saturday evening in the Halifax County Jail under a $51,000 bond. His first court appearance was set for July 9.
