Moore County sheriff's deputies arrested a 47-year-old man after a man was stabbed during a fight in the Eagle Springs area Tuesday.

<b>EAGLE SPRINGS, N.C.</b> — Moore County sheriff's deputies arrested a 47-year-old man after a man was stabbed during a fight in the Eagle Springs area Tuesday.

Investigators said Tommy McNeill, 47, of Robbins, suffered a stab wound to the abdomen area. McNeill was in stable condition at Moore Regional Hospital Thursday.

Willie Creed Quick, 47, of 684 Possum Holler Road in Eagle Springs, was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

According to state Department of Correction records, Quick has spent more than 14 years of the past 22 in prison. He has three convictions for various assault charges and two for armed robbery.
