Man arrested in Durham shooting death

Erick Calderon, 17, of 4001 Meriwether Drive Apartment C-1, was arrested Sunday, Durham police said in a release. He is also charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Police: Man, 17, shot to death in Durham
DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man faces first-degree murder charges in the shooting death of a 17-year-old last week.

Erick Calderon, 17, of 4001 Meriwether Drive Apartment C-1, was arrested Sunday, Durham police said in a release. He is also charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Alejandro Emir Denis-Terron, of Camellia Drive, was shot around 11 p.m. Thursday at a house on Herbert Street, according to police.

Denis-Terron was standing in the yard with a group of other men when the shooting happened, police said. Investigators said they don't know what the motive was, and their investigation was continuing.
