Man arrested for holding up pizza deliveryman

DURHAM, N.C. — A Crime Stoppers tip led police to a man wanted for robbing a Domino's Pizza deliveryman at gunpoint in August.

Police officers arrested Tarrio Tremaine Hemmingway, 21, of Dorothy Street, at Truman and Wabash streets on Saturday morning.

Hemmingway was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon for the Aug. 16 holdup. He was also wanted on unrelated charges of identity theft and drug possession.

Hemmingway was being held in the Durham County Jail under a $280,000 bond.

Hemingway served eight months in 2006 and 2007 for felony breaking-and-entering, according to state Department of Correction records. He was given probation after convictions for disorderly conduct in April 2006 and wanton injury to a person or property in March 2004.
