Man Arrested After Downtown Raleigh Chase
Police arrested a man suspected of driving under the influence late Friday after he allegedly led officers on a 25-minute chase through the downtown Raleigh area.

Police arrested a man suspected of driving under the influence late Friday after he allegedly led officers on a 25-minute, low-speed chase through the downtown Raleigh area.
Noah Vendrick, 23, of Raleigh, was pulled over during a traffic stop near North Carolina State University at about 10:30 p.m., police said.
But he left the scene, leading more than 10 police cars while going about 10 mph back and forth along Wade Avenue, according to authorities.
Police took Vendrick into custody after he crashed into a police car in the Ridgewood Shopping Center parking lot. Police had used stop sticks that flattened the car's tires, but he continued driving.
Officer C.W. Woodard was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police charged Vendrick with speeding to elude arrest, assault on a law enforcement officer inflicting serious injury, assault on a government official with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence.
He was being held Sunday in lieu of a $21,000 bond.
