Man, 42, killed in Goldsboro shooting

A 42-year-old man died late Tuesday after being shot in the 100 block of Ervin Drive in Goldsboro, police said.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 42-year-old man died late Tuesday after being shot in the 100 block of Ervin Drive in Goldsboro, police said. 

Officers responding to a call about gunshots found Doral Deangelo Best lying in a ditch at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Best, who had been shot once, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No other information about the shooting has been released.
