Lynda Loveland: The trifecta of sleepovers (you were right!)

We let the kids pick dinner. Of course, they chose pizza. I covered the table with a roll of white paper so they could draw on it. First time I’ve done that and it was a hit. After dinner, the kids made sundaes. That was also a hit.
It was interesting to watch the interaction among the kids. Sometimes, they all played together, as in hide and seek. Other times, they broke off in pairs.
I will admit it was a little difficult at the end of the night to get everyone settled. Also, my kids learned a big lesson about how a guest is treated. But overall, I think it was a big success! We’ll definitely do it again.
I was a little intimidated initially though. As we turned into our neighborhood with a car full of kids, my six-year-old son from the back seat says in a Darth Vader-esque voice, “Welcome to MY World!”
