I’m talking about those mid-calf socks that are all the rage among the young boys. They’re the must have item and they’re rubbing my wallet the wrong way! I first heard of these last year from a parent of a middle schooler. I blew it off, thinking, I won’t have to worry about that. This is me eating my words.

If you’re the parent of a young boy, you know exactly what I’m talking about. If you’re a parent of girls only, start paying attention to what the boys are wearing. The socks come in all colors, but I see a lot of the black ones. They have kind of a block pattern up the back.

The Nike Elites are the most popular it seems. Popular and pricey! Those dang things can set you back $14 for one pair!!! My son has been begging for them!

My husband finally broke down and bought him a pair. I can’t believe my first experience with kids and their fads would be socks. Not to mention it was a fad involving my son and not my daughters!
