Next week will be an emotional one for me.

Starting Tuesday morning, Feb. 14, Bill Jordan and I will be broadcasting live from the lobby of Duke Children’s Hospital. It will be our 18th annual Radiothon to help take care of the kids at Duke.
The Radiothon is one of the most important things we do at Mix 101.5. Kids and their families from all over the world come to Duke for hope. The Radiothon gives them hope. The money raised goes for research and it goes for things to make the kids and their families more comfortable during their stay. It also goes to send kids to camp so they can actually feel like kids for a little while.

As a mother, I can’t even imagine what the parents go through. You know what it’s like when your child’s sick. It absolutely tears you up inside and you would do ANYTHING to make them better. The Radiothon is a way we can all help. It’s comforting to know, if my child gets sick, and I mean really sick, the best doctors and treatments are just down the road.

Please join us next week and give from the heart. Mix 101.5’s Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital is Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lynda is the mom of three and co-host of Mix 101.5 WRAL-FM's Bill & Lynda in the Morning. Find her here on Thursdays. For more information about how you can participate in the Radiothon and help the kids at Duke Children's, click here. Duke Medicine is Go Ask Mom's sponsor.
