Campbell is my oldest child. She’s six, going on seven in July. Did I say seven? I meant 17. The stuff kids already discuss at that age just amazes me. She informed me I can’t kiss her on the lips at school because the kids will make fun of her. She said one of the boys in her class was kissed on the lips by his mom and he took a lot of flack for it. What!!!!! She’s in first grade for crying out loud!!!! I thought that stuff didn’t start until middle school.

The other day, Cam got in trouble for trying to hide her Nintendo DS in her bedroom. She likes to pull it out after everyone’s gone to bed. My husband busted her and took it away for a few days. She pouted in her room for awhile, than came walking slowly down the stairs. With a bit of a sassy look on her face. You know the look I’m talking about. She says, “Dad, just so you know, you’re NOT my BFF anymore…MOM is.”

I guess she told him!
