Lowes Foods buys land for new store in Cary

Lowes Foods has purchased land for a new store in Cary.

According to their press release, "the land is located at the future intersection of Mills Park Drive and Morrisville Parkway and will be developed as part of the planned extension of Morrisville Parkway. The shopping center to be constructed on the site has not yet been named."

The store opening depends on the completion of the Morrisville Parkway extension and the interchange at Morrisville Parkway and I-540.

Lowes Foods president Tim Lowe shares,"Our strategy is to continue with the company remodeling effort that includes a commitment to the Triangle market. We already have completed remodeling of many of our stores in the Triangle, including High House Road in Cary, Louisburg Road in Raleigh, in Knightdale, in Garner and the recent reopening of our Strickland Road store, also in Raleigh. In fact, our next store reopening will be in Wake Forest in mid-November, and there will be additional store remodels in the Triangle market next year. Our new and remodeled stores are very focused on supporting local, while providing exceptional attention to our guests. Our commitment to local includes offering produce sourced through our partnership with more than 250 Carolina-based farmers, and featuring a wide assortment of unique local products found throughout our stores."
