Love Pokemon Go like, what seems like, the rest of the world? The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences is hosting a special event Thursday on the science of Pokemon.

It's 11:30 a.m., Thursday, in the Daily Planet Theater at the downtown Raleigh museum. It's free.

Here's the description: "Are you preoccupied by Pikachu? Obsessed by Oddish? Gripped by Grovyle? If so, you’re not alone … many of us have Pokémon fever! But is Pokémon just a simple game of fictional mini-monsters, or does it contain deeper lessons about the real world? In this presentation, we’ll explore the science behind this augmented reality craze. So, bring your curiosity and your Poké Balls … you never know what will show up at the Museum!"
