DURHAM, N.C. — After nearly four years in business, LoMo Market has decided to close.
Owners Guenevere Abernathy made the announcement Monday on LoMo's website. Since opening, the Durham-based mobile market has been a fixture at events and outside local businesses and neighborhoods. It offered a variety of local and fresh grocery items.

"Your support, faith, encouragement and patronage have meant the world. The decision to close was not made lightly. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a sustainable business model. It has been an amazing journey and we truly enjoyed working for all of you; our passionate customers and producers," Abernathy wrote. "With your help we have been able to change the way people access and think about local food. We have learned a lot over the last few years and expect that access to high quality local foods will continue to increase."
