Local author Carolyn Zahnow will talk bout her book on teen depression, substance abuse and suicide at North Regional Library on Tuesday.

Zahnow, who lost her son and only child to suicide in 2005, will talk about the signs of teen depression and substance abuse in an effort to prevent the loss of another life by suicide. Zahnow writes about the loss of her 18-year-old son in her book "Saving the Teens: Preventing Suicide, Depression and Addiction."

The program at North Regional, 7009 Harps Mill Rd. in Raleigh, is from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. For more information or to register for the event, call 919-870-4000 or email katrina.vernon@wakegov.com.
