Dublin

This northeast Bladen County town was incorporated in 1913 and has a population of 250 people.

Belfast

This central Wayne County town is named for a native of Ireland. It was formerly known as Scottsville.

Kilkenny

This southern Tyrrell County community is also called Warbler. It lies near the Alligator River, north of Lake Mattamuskeet.

Emerald Isle

This Carteret County vacation spot lies along the Bogue Banks and boasts outstanding views and seafood. It was incorporated in 1957.

Hillsborough

Hillsborough's namesake is a Northern Ireland town with a famous oyster festival. This historic Orange County town is the home of author Lee Smith and has a population of 6,087.
