The predictions were rosy but what about reality? I’d like to know.
The National Association of Colleges and Employers predicted strong job opportunities for the class of 2007. One poll predicted employers would hire 17.4% more new college graduates this year over 2006 with the South and West the hottest regions. Raleigh made one top ten list of robust job markets.
Researchers say starting salaries for college graduates this year will be more than 10% higher than last year.
Strong people skills are viewed as more important than ever these days for college graduates.
And the hottest fields for job opportunities: accounting, business administration and management, computer sciences, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
