Art in the Park

Posted Updated

I just got back from Lake Johnson in Raleigh. Oh, what a gorgeous day and a beautiful park! This evening do yourself and Raleigh a huge favor by attending the first annual Art in the Park festival at Lake Johnson. Local artists are helping Friends of Lake Johnson raise money to expand and protect this urban oasis.

Metal sculptor Joel Haas, photographer David Bibb, potter Dan Finch and painter Ann Lapere are just a few of the outstanding local artists who will participate. Tickets are $25 or $20 when you buy two or more tickets. You’ll be treated to a marvelous evening talking to the artists and nature specialists. You will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by Amedeo’s and a silent auction which begins at 5:00P.M.

My music CDs will be played at the event and will be available to purchase. The idea is to generate money to help purchase the remaining 13 acres of undeveloped land around his precious park.

So stop by the boathouse at Lake Johnson tonight from 5:00P.M-8:00P.M. for a memorable evening.

Lake Johnson is located on Avent Ferry Road in Raleigh.
