Two destinations this weekend. Durham to find warmth and Hamlet to play music. We'll head over to the Museum of Life & Science and enter the 5,000 square foot conservatory. Temperature: 80 degrees. Relative humidity: 80% The tropical environment supports the museum's booming butterfly population and Saturday crews will release ladybugs into the facility and demonstrate how to use these insects as a sort of a natural pesticide. Ladybugs help control aphids in gardens, greenhouses and food crops. On Sunday I will be in Hamlet for a concert with my musical group Lorica. We are playing at 3:00P.M. at Cole Auditorium on the campus of Richmond Community College. Hamelt is a neat town with a rich railroad history. It is home to the National Railroad Museum and Hall of Fame. I have really enjoyed working with JoAnn Bruce at the college in setting up this concert. We will be playing selections from my new CD "I Am a River." Hope the weather holds up.
