Harris Teeter recalls pistachios
A North Carolina-based grocery chain with stores in eight states has voluntarily recalled some of its packages of pistachio nuts after a supplier indicated that some may be contaminated with salmonella.

Harris Teeter announced Saturday that its recall was limited to 12-oz. packages of its "Harris Teeter Natural Roasted & Salted Pistachios." The products contain the UPC code: 007203653117.
The items may be returned for a full refund.
The company's California-based supplier, Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc., temporarily shut down after recalling more than 2 million pounds of potentially tainted nuts.
Harris Teeter's Web site says it operates 176 retail stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C.
