Lego expert stops in Raleigh, Chapel Hill Tuesday

Artist and author Sean Kenney, a Lego certified professional, will visit book stores in Raleigh and Chapel Hill Tuesday with his new book "Cool Creations in 35 Pieces."

For the Lego lovers out there ...

Artist and author Sean Kenney, a Lego certified professional, will visit book stores in Raleigh and Chapel Hill Tuesday with his new book "Cool Creations in 35 Pieces." During the sessions at Quail Ridge Books & Music and Flyleaf Books, Kenney will demonstrate how he makes his designs and then invite kids to make their own Lego pieces.

He'll be at Quail Ridge, 3522 Wade Ave., Raleigh, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday. Then he'll head over to Flyleaf Books, 752 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill, for an event at 7 p.m., Tuesday. 
Some more about Kenney from a press release: Sean Kenney is an artist who creates sculptures and models out of LEGO bricks at his studio in New York City. Falling in love with LEGOs as a boy, Sean pursued his dream as an artist and became the world’s first LEGO-certified professional. Over the years, Sean has toured the globe with his creations and produced six inspirational and instructive children’s books, including Cool Castles, Cool Robots, among others. This is his first official book tour to date and he will visit 16 cities. Check his website for more.
"Cool Creations" went on sale on Sept. 10 and seeks to inspire readers to create "grand formations with very few blocks."
