RALEIGH, N.C. — Drivers traveling at night on eastbound U.S. 64 Business in eastern Wake County can expect some lane closures between Hinton Oaks Boulevard and 3 Sisters Road, beginning Monday.
That's when work will begin on a $1.5 million state Department of Transportation resurfacing project, which is scheduled to take about 10 weeks.

Contractors will be milling and resurfacing 5.3 miles of highway between the Neuse River and 3 Sisters Road, near the interchange with the Knightdale Bypass (U.S. Highway 64/264), with the exception of the roadway at the Interstate 540 interchange.

The work will be done at night to lessen the impact on traffic, with one or two lanes closed at a time between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday through Sunday. Travel information is available by calling 511.
