KENLY, N.C. — Police said they will begin enforcing the town's curfew for anyone under age 16 after a recent spate of vandalism cases.

The curfew is from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. seven nights a week. The parents of any youth out during those hours without an adult face being cited, police said.

Police said they hope the strict enforcement will reduce the number of vandalism cases around town. Two juveniles were charged with spray-painting graffiti on dugouts at the Kenly Parks and Recreation Center ballfield.
