Ms. Poly and Ms. Ester of Kazoom Puppet Theatre in Raleigh are making some changes to what has been until now a twice a week puppet show.

In an email message, the pair (Carolyn Johnson and Helen Dawkins in real life) wrote that the show will now be open generally on the first and third Wednesday and Thursday of each month during the school year from September to May. In June, July and August, they'll return to their original schedule with shows every Wednesday and Thursday (except July 13 and July 14).

There will be exceptions throughout the year, including days when school is out, for instance. So check Kazoom's website for an up-to-date schedule before you go. The next shows are at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. March 2 and March 3

The ticket price also increased from $4 per person to $5 per person. The new schedule and ticket price went into effect this week.

"We hated to do this, but everything's gone up," they wrote.

The show appeals to toddlers to about third graders and involves lots of opportunities for kids to get up on stage, sing and dance. Check my earlier post for more and to see some snippets of the show in a video.
You can also see the show on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. at the Holly Springs Cultural Center in Holly Springs. Tickets are $5 each. Click here for details.
