Johnston teen charged with shooting father

A Johnston County teen is accused of shooting his father after an argument Sunday night.

KENLY, N.C. — A Johnston County teen is accused of shooting his father after an argument Sunday night.

Joseph Forrester, 16, of 133 Old Pebble Lane in Kenly, argued with his father, then got a gun and shot his father in the hand, said Tammy Amaon, spokeswoman for the Johnston County Sheriff's Office. His father was treated at WakeMed in Raleigh.

Forrester was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was placed in the Johnston County jail under a $100,000 bond.
