Johnston Couple in Court on Manslaughter Charges
A Johnston County couple accused of killing the woman's 7-month-old boy was expected to face a judge Monday.
Posted — UpdatedNEWTON GROVE, N.C. — A Johnston County couple accused of killing the woman's 7-month-old boy was expected to face a judge Monday.
Joshua Quinn Tart died Nov. 1, but a recent autopsy report led to the arrests of Katherine Strickland and her husband, Jeffery Parker.
Deputies say the couple originally told them the child was accidentally dropped in October. A medical examiner's report shows the child died from "complications of drowning."
Strickland and Parker are charged with involuntary manslaughter.
