Johnston County father arrested, charged with child abuse

Chad Brandon Capps, 28, of 2194 Old Cornwallis Road in Princeton was charged with child abuse causing serious physical injury.

An arrest warrant said that Capps was caring for the child on June 4 when he dropped him on the floor, causing multiple fractures.

The warrant states that Capps was “grossly negligent and showed careless disregard” because he did not get medical attention for the boy and did not tell anybody about the incident.

Capps was being held at the Johnston County Jail Tuesday night.
