Jeanne Jolly plans last local summer show at Berkeley Cafe
Jeanne Jolly and her band will play Berkeley Cafe in Raleigh on June 29.
Posted — UpdatedJolly and the band have been finishing up their new album, which is scheduled to drop this fall. She will be debuting some new tunes from the album as well as playing songs from her 2010 release “Falling in Carolina," which was recorded in Durham.
"Falling in Carolina” was a collection of songs Jolly wrote when she first moved back to her hometown of Raleigh. The single, "Here with You," holds a very special place in her heart because it was inspired by the love story of her brother and his wife.
Her recently released music video for the song features shots of Jolly’s most memorable and favorite places in Raleigh - the Rialto, Third Place and the Raleigh Little Theater.
In 2008, Jolly’s mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. She passed away four months later.
