JC Raulston Arboretum opens gates at night for Moonlight in the Garden
This is the first time in more than a decade that the arboretum, part of N.C. State, has opened its gates after dark for an autumn stroll.

JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh will offer a unique opportunity to explore the gardens and celebrate fall this month.
Moonlight in the Garden is open to the public this Saturday and Sunday and Nov. 11 and Nov. 12. Tickets are $15 and $5 each for kids 12 and under. This is the first time in more than a decade that the arboretum, part of N.C. State, has opened its gates after dark for an autumn stroll.
The evenings include thousands of luminaries, which will guide visitors through the gardens, and an interactive, 40-light color display in the Scree and Zeric gardens. Public art installations, including one called "Fireflies," also are part of the event. And there will be music, food trucks, warm cider, fire pits and marshmallows to roast.
It's open 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday and Nov. 11 and Nov. 12. It's best to get your tickets in advance as they are limited. Last tickets will be sold at 8:30 p.m. each evening.
