Morehead Planetarium plays host to the sixth annual LEGO-palooza this weekend. The very popular event, which usually draws more than 1,000 people, runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

You'll see all kinds of Lego models and scenes created by the N.C. LEGO Users Group (AKA LUG). The event is best for kids ages 4 and up. And it's free.
Read more about how LEGO-palooza got its start six years ago on Morehead's blog. Morehead Planetarium is on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill.
