Infant's Death Called Suspicious
A 1-month-old child died Thursday morning, and police are investigating the case as a suspicious death.

Officers were called to an apartment at 100 Peat Moss Drive shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday, police said. The infant was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital, where it was pronounced dead.
No details about the case have been released. Investigators said they plan to get a warrant to search the apartment.
