Come celebrate Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights, at Cary's Koka Booth Amphitheatre this Saturday. Experience and learn about Indian culture by watching music and dance performances, visiting arts and crafts vendors and sampling Indian food.

Dance group Shiamak Davar International of Toronto will headline the show, and their performance begins at 6:30 p.m. The festival will end with a fireworks display at 8:30 p.m.

The festival is also an educational opportunity; there will be plenty of hands-on and visual activities in the exhibition tent. Collaborative canvas painting, folk art exhibits, live art exhibits, educational discussions and interactive activities for the kids will entertain the whole family.

Admission and lawn seating are free, although there is a $5 parking fee. The gates open at 10:30 a.m. for this fun event!
