Father's Day will be breezy, warm and more humid than recent days, said WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Father's Day might get sticky in central North Carolina, and that won't just be from ribs on the grill. The afternoon will be much more moist than we've seen in recent days and temperatures will push the 90-degree mark, according to WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss.

I'm meteorologist, Kat Campbell in the wr a severe weather center here with a more in depth. Look at your weekend rain chances a lot of questions given that it's trending toward a pretty unsettled weekend. The good news I have for you is it's not a washout. A washout would mean that it would rain all day long. We're not expecting that this is going to be more in waves of rain that we see. The better rain chances are likely to come later in the day. But check in on the radar if you're about to head out into an event, I encourage you. Open up the wr weather app, check in on the dual Doppler 5000 radar before you head out and about. And because there are periods of rain, likely each day, you are going to want to have an indoor backup plan available in case that rain lines up with your outdoor plans. We finally got in some high resolution model data for Saturday. So I want to talk a little bit more about the rain timeline for Saturday, 79 the high Sunday. It's only 70 both days. We could see some storms around as we look hour by hour at our rain chances though, it's about a 30% chance Saturday morning. We should see that round move out pretty quickly though. And then later in the afternoon into the evening, that's when rain chances begin to climb again. Here's a closer look at that high resolution future cast during the day, Friday were dry as we get into Friday. Late afternoon into the evening, we could see a couple of showers and storms may even be between about nine pm and midnight that we have the best chance for rain though on Friday, as we look ahead to Saturday morning, some of that round of rain is still around early on. We should see that kind of move out. But with this warm across the area that could trigger a few showers and storms to develop pretty much all throughout the day because we have that front nearby. We should see a band of some showers move through at some point during the afternoon and evening. So try to make the most of the dry weather while you can. Here's a closer look at your playground planner for Friday. It's dry during the first part of the day. Only a 30% chance of a shower storm at two o'clock as we get toward four or 56 o'clock. That's when I think we have a better chance of an isolated storm. But keep in mind it's be pretty isolated Friday. Night is a better chance of rain and storms. And then Saturday night as well, we could see some lingering rain into Sunday. So if you are headed to the Bembe Cultural Arts Festival on Saturday, just try to get there early. The earlier you get there, the drier, it's likely to be your seven day forecast. Unsettled for the weekend. We do see quite a bit of cloud cover lingering on Monday. It's a bit cooler with highs. Only in the mid seventies. The eighties are back next week and by the middle and end of the week, we should be right back in the mid to upper eighties.

The humidity will continue to rise through Sunday evening and into Monday when a cool front brings the chance for storms late.

Temperatures started out cool and comfortable Sunday, in the 60s, but had climbed to 87 degrees at Raleigh-Durham International Airport by mid-afternoon. 

"We got a fairly bright start to the day," Moss said. "There's not much to see on satellite and radar."

Expect generally clear skies with some high clouds through Sunday evening.

"Tomorrow our chance of showers and thunderstorms increases a good bit," Moss said. That chance remains greater than 50 percent through Tuesday. "Some of the showers could be heavy then," he added.

Behind the front, highs stay in the low-80s through Friday and overnight lows will dip to about 68 degrees.
