Hot air balloon festival planned this weekend in Efland

The festival, which will include hot air balloon flights and tethered rides, will happen Friday through Sunday at the Barn at Lloyd's Dairy on an 800 acre farm near where Interstates 40 and 85 merge.

EFLAND, N.C. — The inaugural Tarheel Balloon Festival will be held this weekend about 45 minutes outside of Raleigh.

The festival, which will include hot air balloon flights and tethered rides, will happen Friday through Sunday at the Barn at Lloyd's Dairy on an 800 acre farm near where Interstates 40 and 85 merge. 

There will be vendors, military aircrafts on display, paragliding air shows and more fun.

VIP admission tickets, which include on-site parking, are $25. Standard four to six person vehicles are covered in this. General admission tickets are $10 per person and include off-site parking with a shuttle transporting you to the event. 

Proceeds from this event will go to support the building of a community park.
