Little Leagues are being cast in a new horror movie
WILMINGTON, N.C. — A horror movie filming in Wilmington is seeking local Little League teams as extras.

"Static" is being produced by Blumhouse, the same production company behind "Get Out," "The Purge," "Paranormal Activity" and "Halloween."

No word on what the plot of "Static" is about, but casting directors are looking for Little League teams with players ages 11 to 13 to participate in a scene. Filming is set to take place on March 20.

A donation will be provided to the Little League teams who participate. Parents of players selected will be paid $64 for eight hours of work guaranteed and time-and-a-half for every hour after that.

Selected players and their parents or guardians must be able to attend a costume fitting and complete two COVID-19 tests the week prior to filming. They will be paid an additional $20 bump for attending the fitting and $20 for each COVID-19 test taken.
