Hope Mills man charged with DWI after series of hit-and-runs

Police in Fayetteville arrested a Hope Mills driver Saturday afternoon who they say hit a series of other vehicles as he made his way across town.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police in Fayetteville arrested a Hope Mills driver Saturday afternoon who they say hit a series of other vehicles as he made his way across town.

Terry Chole Marshall, 33, of the 2000 block of Smith Road, faces multiple charges of hit-and-run and driving while impaired.

Police said he is a suspect in crashes at Cedar Creek and Judson Church roads, Cedar Creek and Clinton roads, McPherson Church and Morganton roads, Fisher Road and Lakeway Drive, and Fisher Road and Lakewood Drive.

According to the state Highway Patrol, Marshall was involved in two additional hit-and-runs outside the city limits, on N.C. Highway 59 and State Road 2238. He could faces charges for those as well.
