Holt brothers, former NFL players, plan football camp, appearances

N.C. State football players and brothers Terrence and Torry Holt, who returned to Raleigh to raise their families after successful NFL careers, will offer a football camp on June 28 at N.C. State's Dail Outdoor Practice Facility.

For parents of football players:

N.C. State football players and brothers Terrence and Torry Holt, who returned to Raleigh to raise their families after successful NFL careers, will offer a football camp on June 28 at N.C. State's Dail Outdoor Practice Facility. The Holts, along with other NFL players and area school coaches, will lead the camp, which is designed for kids of all ages and skill levels. This is a noncontact football camp.

The cost is $50 per session. Check the Holt brothers' website for details and to register.

Triangle-area Moe's Southwest Grill is one of the camp's sponsor and will provide food for the campers. Local Moe's also will be hosting pre-camp Holt brother appearances and giveaways. They are at noon, Tuesday, June 10, at the Moe's in Cameron Village in Raleigh, and at 6 p.m., June 18, at the Moe's in Wakefield Plantation in north Raleigh.

Moe's will donate a percentage of the appearance day proceeds to the Holt Brothers Foundation, which offers support for kids dealing with a family member's cancer diagnosis. The Holt brothers mother, Ojetta, was diagnosed with lymphona when the brothers were children. After she died, they committed to helping kids who have a parent with cancer.

The foundation supports KidsCan!, an educational and peer empathy program for kids with a parent with cancer, and Camp Kesem, a sleep-away camp for kids ages 6 to 16 with a parent with cancer.
