Hoke Man Charged With Sex Crimes Against Child

Cumberland County detectives on Sunday charged a Hoke County man with committing sex acts against a child.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County detectives on Sunday charged a Hoke County man with committing sex acts against a child.

Investigators said Marshall Fontana Wiggs, 53, of 110 Spacer Dr., forced a child to participate in sex acts with him on Feb. 9.

Wiggs faces one count each of first-degree statutory offense, second-degree forcible sex offense, first-degree kidnapping and taking indecent liberties with a child.

He was being held Sunday in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was scheduled for Monday.
