Henderson police detective arrested

Henderson police and members of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation arrested Detective Sgt. Kendall Riddick, 35, on Tuesday.

HENDERSON, N.C. — A Henderson police detective faces charges of larceny.

Henderson police and members of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation arrested Detective Sgt. Kendall Riddick, 35, on Tuesday.

Police said Riddick’s arrest stemmed from a local business owner’s report of an incident on Oct. 5. Police did not elaborate on the business owner’s report.

Riddick is charged with one count of felony larceny and three counts of misdemeanor larceny. He was being held under a $10,000 bond in the Henderson jail.

Riddick, who has been an employee of the Henderson Police Department since 2002, has been placed on unpaid administrative suspension pending the outcome of an internal departmental investigation.
