Gunshots fired on Chapel Hill street

Witnesses told officers that two groups of men exchanged gunfire near a city parking lot on East Rosemary Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill police were investigating a shooting incident near Franklin Street early Saturday.

Witnesses told officers that two groups of men exchanged gunfire near a city parking lot on East Rosemary Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. The men then fled.

No one was injured.

Anyone who might have witnessed the shooting or have information about those involved in it is asked to call Chapel Hill police at 919-968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515.
