Gunman killed in Raleigh store robbery identified

Police on Thursday identified the man killed in a store robbery two weeks ago.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police on Thursday identified the man killed in a store robbery two weeks ago.

Bernal Ramiro Miguel Parral, also known as Ramiro Miguel Parral Bernal, 28, was one of three men who tried to rob the Tienda Hispana Mi Barrio II, at 3913 Western Blvd., on Oct. 2, police said.

A clerk pulled out a handgun and exchanged gunfire with one of the suspected robbers, police said. Parral was wounded and died at the scene.

The other two suspected robbers fled the scene, and police continue to search for them.

Investigators in Wake County and Garner are trying to determine if the trio also were responsible for other recent holdups.
