Greenville woman shot in neck in drive-by

A bullet struck a Greenville woman in the neck during a drive-by shooting in her apartment complex Tuesday evening, police said.

GREENVILLE, N.C. — A bullet struck a Greenville woman in the neck during a drive-by shooting in her apartment complex Tuesday evening, police said.

Shirley Elizabeth Hemby, 33, told police that a bullet was shot through the window of her apartment at 1903 Norcott Circle around 8 p.m. Hemby was treated at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Police said the shooter was in a blue Crown Victoria or Chevrolet sedan.
