College-bound high school students can learn about more than 160 colleges at the Greater Raleigh National College Fair next month.

It's set for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., March 13 at the Raleigh Convention Center. Representatives from schools from North Carolina and the eastern United States will be there.

Students can register online now, which means they'll save some time because they won't have to stand in line at the event to register. There can be long lines. The fair includes 45-minute workshop sessions on topics such as paying for college, planning for college, essay writing, standardized testing, highly selective colleges and more.

It is free and open to the public. For more information, including a list of colleges attending, and to register now, go to the event's website.
