GOP steps up attack on Hagan
The National Republican Senatorial Committee is launching a new attack on Democratic U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan, unveiling billboards that question her accomplishments during her first term.

The billboards, which will be in Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston-Salem, list Hagan's support of the Affordable Care Act, often referred to by opponents as "Obamacare," as her only achievement during her first four years in office.
"Kay Hagan promised North Carolinians that she would govern as a centrist but instead has been a Democratic partisan, supporting the president's signature initiatives lock, stock and barrel," NRSC press secretary Brook Hougesen said in a statement. "No amount of hedging can hide the fact that she votes with President Obama 96 percent of the time instead of standing with middle-class families in North Carolina.
"Hagan still refuses to listen to the millions of women, workers and families who are calling for Obamacare to be permanently delayed and dismantled so that the rising cost of health care can finally be properly addressed," Hougesen said. "This week, we'll remind voters that President Obama's costly agenda is Kay Hagan's agenda."
Hagan spokeswoman Amber Moon said Friday the senator has had many bipartisan accomplishments, particularly on military matters, and that North Carolina residents know she's working to help middle-class families.
