Goldsboro teen charged in fatal shooting

A 17-year-old on probation faces a murder charge in the May 30 shooting death of a 23-year-old man.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 17-year-old on probation faces a murder charge in the May 30 shooting death of a 23-year-old man.

Goldsboro police said that Qua'Ton Shaquill Tyrek King, of 209 Shaw Court, shot Delinado Alijuwon Miller in the 600 block of West Holly Street in the West Haven Housing Community, where Miller lived.

Police said they are continuing to investigate Miller's death. Anyone with information about the shooting should call 919-580-4213 or Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.

King was arrested  at the probation office in Goldsboro last Tuesday and placed in the Wayne County jail. He was denied bond.

King was on probation for a May 14 vehicle break-in conviction, according to state Division of Adult Correction records.
