A Goldsboro native is continuing his journey on The Voice.

Tae Lewis competed in the singing competition’s knockout rounds on Monday against Asher Havon. The two sang “Un-Break my Heart” by Toni Braxton.

Ultimately, Havon won, but Lewis is getting another shot to stay on the shew with Team Dan & Shay.

“I feel great,” he said. “I love team Reba, but this is the team I wanted to be on in the first place.”

Lewis performed “Ain’t Nothing on You” by Cody Johnson and received praise from all the coaches.

Lewis moves on to the playoffs, which start on April 22.

“We’re about to kill it,” he said.
