I'll admit to gushing, a wee bit, about my excitement over the news that Justin Roberts will be playing the N.C. Museum of Art's summer concert series when I wrote about it a few months ago.
The Grammy-nominated children's artist, who writes poignant, silly and smart songs about childhood, will perform at 6:30 p.m., July 21, at the Raleigh museum. Tickets are on sale now - $18 for adults and $9 for kids 3 to 12. (Kids 2 and under are free).

He has made regular stops at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro over the last decade or so. I have taken my kids to many of his concerts there. They all turn into fantastic mini dance parties for kid and adults. I'm excited to see him play for a bigger audience at the art museum.

I'm also excited that Go Ask Mom will be helping to get the word out about this concert and helping out that night too. We'll be the activity sponsors for the event, providing some chalk for the kids to make all kinds of chalk drawings (inspired by Roberts' song "I Chalk").

And I'm going to have much more about the concert over the next few weeks. So stay tuned! I hope to see you on July 21!
