We had such a great turnout back in August for our first Go Ask Mom on the road event that we're doing it all over again.
This time, we'll be at the Midtown Farmers' Market at North Hills from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 2. And we have all kinds of fun activities planned.
North Hills Kids programming will wrap up at the end of this month for the summer. The series has featured big, colorful blocks for climbing all over, along with puppet shows, storytimes and other activities.

But your kids will get another chance this fall on those big, colorful blocks. Go Ask Mom will host the children's play area during the market on Oct. 2. I'll also have a drawing for a four pack of MVP Club tickets to a 2011 Durham Bulls game so you can start the season off right. The tickets include food and souvenirs.

There will be some other activities for kids. Our good friends from Duke Raleigh Hospital also will be there with safety information for kids and families. And I'll have some other fun giveaways. More on that later.

Of course there's the market. It features all kinds of yummy baked goods and locally grown and produced products. Just looking at the list of vendors makes my mouth water. And a bluegrass band is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon. The market runs through Nov. 13.

So stay tuned for more details and mark your calendars! I hope to see you there.
